GLORIA AKUA ANNAN wins the Kathleen Farrell Outstanding Graduate Student Award
Gloria Akua Annan, an alumnus of Educational Pathways International (EPI), has been awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award at Saint Louis University. She was also honored with an induction into the US National Communication Honors Society (Lambda Eta Pi – Psi Theta Chapter at SLU) with CGPA of 4.0/4.0.
Gloria received her bachelor’s degree at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She furthered her studies at Saint Louis University (SLU), graduating in May 2025 with a Master of Arts in Communication.
Gloria’s research paper was accepted for presentation at the June 2025 International Communication Association conference held in Denver, Colorado. It was also accepted for publication in a US scholarly Journal.
Gloria will be continuing her studies at the University of Kentucky to pursue a PhD in Health Communication. The duration of the programme is four years. She gained admission to four universities to do her PhD, but chose the University of Kentucky because its Health Communication PhD program is one of the best globally.
Gloria is the first person to obtain a Master’s degree in her entire family and is determined to be the first person to obtain PhD in her family as well. Her dream is to work with one of the world’s great international organisations upon completion of the PhD.
