Dr. Eric Gaba – placed first in Denmark at prestigious Marie Curie Presidential Conference

Dr. Gaba, a 2015 EPI Scholarship recipient, was selected to participate in the Falling Walls Lab Pitch Competition for Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellows, held during the MSCA 2025 Presidency Conference in Denmark.

At the conference, Eric shared his research on sustainable prosthetic sockets made from pineapple leaf fibers, an area in which he has been working for the past ten years. From 100+ applicants and 17 live pitches, Eric emerged as the first-place winner. 

He, along with two other researchers, will represent the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions at the Global Finale in Berlin this November, where they will compete for the title of Breakthrough Winner of the Year in the Emerging Talents category.
