by | Aug 21, 2025

EPI Scholar Alhassan Aboagye, a 2025 graduate with an LLB from the University of Ghana School of Law, was chosen to deliver the valedictory speech for his graduating class.

In his inspiring remarks, Alhassan reflected on the journey they had shared together—the challenges overcome, the friendships forged, and the collective achievements that defined their time at the University. He urged his colleagues to step forward as proud ambassadors of their alma mater, carrying with them not only the knowledge they had acquired but also the values and lessons that had shaped them along the way.

Throughout his studies, Alhassan distinguished himself as a dedicated and thoughtful scholar with a deep passion for the power of legal knowledge. He demonstrated a particular interest in writing and in making the law more accessible to the wider public. This commitment is reflected in his ongoing contributions to the High Street Journal, where his legal commentary helps bridge the gap between the complexities of legal practice and the everyday realities of Ghanaians.

Beyond the classroom, Alhassan played an active role in student leadership, serving as a Senator in the Senate of the Law Students’ Union during the 2022–2023 academic year. His leadership was complemented by practical legal experience gained through internships with leading institutions, including the Judicial Service of Ghana, where he worked under the guidance of a High Court Judge in Agona Swedru.

With his blend of academic excellence, leadership, and a clear dedication to public service, Alhassan exemplifies the promise of the next generation of legal minds in Ghana.
