Garvin Tangeh, an EPI scholarship recipient and 2017 graduate from the University of Ghana, was recently awarded the overall best student in Strategic Case Study at the 37th Graduation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG). This award is one of the many he has won so far in his academic journey including the 2017 coveted Cal Bank Prize for the Best Graduating Accounting Student as well as the prestigious ACCA-Dean’s Prize for the Best Graduating Male Student in Accounting at the University of Ghana.

After his National Service as a Research Assistant at UGBS, Garvin proceeded to Gujarat University in India, under an Indian Government Scholarship, to pursue a Master of Commerce degree, specializing in applied statistics and finance. Garvin completed his program with First Class Honors with Distinction.

Garvin did internships and volunteer work with a number of organizations, including the Wa Memorial Hospital in Navrongo, Agricultural Development Bank in Navrongo, and Ghana Hostels Limited in Accra. He has also published a number of articles on stock market efficiency in international peer-reviewed academic journals.

Garvin is currently a Senior Auditor at AYB Chartered Accountants & Tax Consultants in Tamale.
